4 Successful Pop-Up Store Events

Pop-up stores have become a go-to strategy in the world of experiential marketing, offering creative consumer experiences that build brand loyalty. 

Over the years, we have had the opportunity to work with top 100 brands throughout the world, helping them bring their brand to life through pop-up store experiences. Let’s explore 4 of these standout events we have had the pleasure of working on:   

  1. Pop Tarts World

This 3,200-square-foot pop-up located in Times Square was the epitome of nostalgia for event attendees. Pop Tarts World featured an hourly light show, gift shop, café and The Varietizer; a large Pop Tarts vending machine that created custom variety packs. The activation was live for four-and-a-half months – the longest standing pop-up we have ever permitted! 

2. Glade Feelings Boutique

In a quest to showcase the link between a scent and an emotion, Glade set out to create The Glade Feelings Boutique. This multi-sensory experience led attendees through 5 rooms, each containing their own unique theme and scent, including relaxation, flirty and energized. The activation was filled with interactive experiences such as Oculus stations, photo opportunities and even a life-size conch shell!  

For this particular activation, EventPermits handled every aspect of the pop-up, including location scouting, venue lease, all production elements, celebrity appearance and curating each of the different “scentsational” rooms within the immersive experience.  

3. Central Perk – Friends 25th Anniversary Pop-Up

The month-long activation drew in a line of eager coffee drinkers that stretched out over three city blocks each day. Fans came from near and far to sip on the Central Perk Roast blend from Eight O’Clock Coffee and take a photo on the iconic orange couch. In collaboration with Warner Brothers, Eight O’Clock also sponsored the pop-up. 

4. Samsung Experience Tour

To celebrate 10 years of Samsung’s Galaxy phone and to promote their new S10, the Samsung Experience Tour hit the road and set up shop in major cities across the US including Chicago, NYC, DC, LA, Philly, Boston, Austin, Indy, Brooklyn, Miami, Atlanta and more. Inside the activation, consumers were able to interact with the latest Samsung technologies. Our agency clients were blown away by the ability of EventPermits to scout, secure and contract massive 150 x 150 ft footprints for 45-60 days at a time in aforementioned major markets, reinforcing our reputation to permit the impossible.
